The “Red, White & Brew” event which will be held at “Ferg’s Live” on Channelside Drive in Tampa this Saturday is sure to be a great time. The “13 ugly Men” Foundation a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization is proud to announce another event as they continue to “party for a purpose” on Saturday July 4th at “Ferg’s Live” in Downtown Tampa. The “Red, White & Brew” event will kick off at 7pm and play host to live music from country/ rock band “Soul Circus Cowboys” and DJ Barry Carew. The event will feature what the 13 Ugly Men have been known for since being funded in the mid 1990’s…some of the most fashionable ladies in the Bay Area joining a crowd that will feature select domestic & craft beers in conjunction with Pepin Distributors, specialty Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktails, a great view of the fireworks from the Channelside area and of course, a cause that is more than worthy of the $10 cover charge which is going to benefit the “Southeastern Guide Dogs” (www.GuideDogs.org) which trains dogs to help soldiers with PTSD through their Paws For Patriots program. “We wanted to form new events in addition to our signature White Party, Halloween Party, and Get Roasted events” said President David Moyer. THE HISTORY OF THE “13 UGLY MEN”
The “13 Ugly Men” first appeared in the Tampa area in the 1990’s as a group of 13 Founding Members who hosted fantastic parties, and wanted to improve our community by giving back. By encouraging Tampa Bay to “Party With a Purpose”, the reputation of the original 13 grew steadily, and by the late 90’s, they were ready to take the next step. In December of 1998, The “13 Ugly Men” Foundation was incorporated in the State of Florida as a 501(c)3 not-forprofit organization. Over the subsequent years, the Foundation has raised well in excess of a half million dollars for deserving charities and causes around Tampa Bay. The Foundation is an ardent supporter of charities and organizations that benefit children’s issues, women’s issues, crisis intervention, law enforcement and our military men and women.
Currently comprised of thirty-one (31) members, the Foundation is led by its Board of Directors, currently numbering six, including the President. The “13 Ugly Men” are proud to operate the Foundation with a 0% administrative overhead, which means that none of the proceeds from our events are used to pay for any operational expenses incurred by the Foundation in the normal course of business. Private donations, received annually from each member, ensure that 100% of the proceeds from our events reaches those in need. The “13 Ugly Men” host up to five events annually. Our signature event is the White Party, held each year in the latter part of April. We also feature the Halloween Freakshow, held on the Friday preceding Halloween, and Get Roasted,
held on the night before Thanksgiving. Other events are scheduled as opportunities arise, including select New Years, St Patrick’s Day and summer events.
The “13 Ugly Men” have been honored with numerous awards throughout the years, including the Champions for Children Award (2009), presented by Voices for Children, the Business Partner of the Year Award (2012), presented by the Tampa Police Department, and the Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero Honor (2015).

A truly monumental occasion, as we visit the completed Firehouse 6 project. The 13 Ugly Men donated towards renovating the facility. Built in 1914, it sits the oldest Firehouse in Tampa, & housing one of the very few that can handle hazardous material in the state. The renovations of this historic landmark are now complete, as we met Tampa Fire Rescue Chief Thomas Forward & Chief Michael Gonzalez, as well as the Firehouse 6 crew and team. We could not be more happy to help, and support the City of Tampa any way we can.
Due to the overwhelming support, sponsors, and attendance, of the 2015 13 Ugly Men White Party. The 13 Ugly Men Foundation is proud to present a $25,000 donation to the Hands Across the Bay. The donation will be utilized towards the Domestic Violence division.

Tampa, Florida -– The group has a funny name—13 Ugly Men—and they’re known for their parties. And on Saturday, April 11, about 1,000 people are expected to attend The White Party.
“What they can expect is an all-night party at one of the premier venues in the Tampa Bay area,” says 13 Ugly Men President David Moyer. “It will be one of the best parties.”
The party takes place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It will feature plenty of food, drinks, and multiple DJ’s.
Party proceeds will benefit Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay charity and specifically that group’s efforts to help victims of domestic violence. “It’s a great charity—a great organization,” says Moyer.

After an anonymous donation of $10,000 was provided for the 2015 White Party, it was told that the donation should be held to secrecy. The large donation was actually sent through the online purchase the exact morning after a Quarterly 13 Ugly Men General Membership meeting where the President and Chair both asked all of the members to try and find a sponsor. It seemed that this hit home for one specific member. That member’s name is Dr. Rob Albergo. He knew how much the 13 Ugly Men organization meant to him, and he did not want to let any of his brothers down. He wanted to fly under the radar, but the President and Chair both felt that we needed everyone to know how generous and caring the donation means to the 13 Ugly Men and ultimately what it will mean to the Hands Across the Bay. If you see him at the party, shake his hand, give him a hug or a kiss, and thank him.
With a year off in 2014 due to the May weather, we have decided to step up our game for 2015. First, the date is moved up into early April. The way it should always be.
What is the White Party? If you haven’t been, it is the Annual Signature Party in Tampa Bay. Over 1,000 of the best people in the area dress up in White and party in a one of a kind setting, with the best DJ’s, and the best venue in town.

How is 2015 different? Well, Seminole Hard Rock is offering food all night for our guests. This will be in the RISE area off the pool location, and specifically for our White Party guests. The menu is unbelievable, and it will even fulfill your late night cravings. The party is extended until 2 am!!!! This is a first for the White Party. The ticket purchase allows you access into the Hard Rock Cafe which is also open to 4am. With ticket purchases, you will receive a promo code for the hotel that evening if you wish to stay over night. We also have plenty of other tricks up our sleeves to make this night the most memorable.
